Beloit Historical Society and Miss Beloit Scholarship Organization Present
“Her Story… A Tribute to Miss Beloit” Exhibit

The Miss Beloit Organization, in partnership with the Beloit Historical Society, proudly presents “Her Story… A Tribute to Miss Beloit,” a special exhibit celebrating the legacy, impact, and evolution of the Miss Beloit program since its founding in 1960.

The exhibit will officially open with a celebration on Sunday, March 22nd at 2:00 PM, inviting community members to step into a rich history of leadership, empowerment, and opportunity for young women in the Beloit community.

For more than six decades, the Miss Beloit program has provided young women with a platform to grow as leaders while pursuing higher education and community service. What began as a traditional pageant has evolved into a scholarship and leadership program emphasizing success, style, service, scholarship, and sisterhood—values that continue to guide participants today.

Visitors to the exhibit will experience a journey through the decades as they explore historic crowns, sashes, evening gowns, program books, photographs, and memorabilia that highlight the transformation of the program and the remarkable women who have represented Beloit.

A special portion of the exhibit will spotlight the organization’s youth mentorship initiatives, which have also evolved over time. What once began as the Princess Program has grown into Crown AcadeME, a mentorship experience designed to inspire confidence, leadership, and community involvement in young girls. Participants in the program are crowned and proudly known as Beloit’s Blossoms, symbolizing the growth and promise of the next generation of leaders.

The opening celebration on March 22nd will feature the 2026 delegates competing for the titles of Miss Beloit and MissBeloit’s Teen. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the delegates as they share their community service initiatives, talents, and personal reasons for competing in the program. The event offers a unique opportunity for the public to connect with the young women continuing the legacy of Miss Beloit.

“This exhibit is not just about crowns and titles,” organizers say. “It’s about the stories of women who have used this platform to grow as leaders, serve their communities, and support one another through sisterhood.”

The Beloit community is invited to attend the opening celebration and experience how the Miss Beloit program has inspired generations of women while continuing to empower the leaders of tomorrow.
