A celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary will be held from noon — 4 p.m. at the Beloit Historical Society, 845 Hackett St.
A fun-filled afternoon is planned featuring live music by Gene Shepherd, a performance by the Even Start Dancers, games and giveaways. Visitors will be able to explore the Celebrations exhibit that highlights America’s milestones since 1876 and Beloit’s role in those celebrations. Guests also can enjoy cupcakes from Craveable, Culver’s custard as well as Scooter’s lemonade and Frito Lay chips.
The Beloit Historical Society, founded in 1910, preserves and shares the rich and diverse heritage of the Beloit community to enhance community pride. Headquartered at 845 Hackett St., the society provides facilities for tours, research, programs and private rentals.
