Margaret Goodwin

1888 – 1965

Margaret Goodwin was the second woman elected to the Board of Trustees of Beloit College. She was influential in obtaining Rasey House as a Daughters of the American Revolution shrine. She graduated from Beloit College in 1910, where she was a member of Pi Beta sorority.

During World War II Miss Goodwin was local chairman of the Volunteer Service Red Cross. She was a member of Beloit good citizen program, Daughters of American Colonists, National Society of Founders and Patriots, Beloit Historical Society, Rock County Historical Society, Beloit governing Board of Beloit Hospital, Beloit YWCA, American Legion Auxiliary, Visiting Nurses Society and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
