Joseph (Joe) Stadelman has dedicated more than 37 years to Angus-Young Associates, where he became President and Principal Architect in 2017. Under his leadership, Angus-Young has grown to 65 employees with offices in Janesville, Madison, and Rockford.

In his role, he has led the planning, development, and design of numerous regional projects. Recent highlights include Blackhawk Technical College’s Public Safety and Transportation Training Center, ABC Supply National Support Centers One and Two, the City of Beloit Fire Stations No. 1,2, and 3, The Beloit College Powerhouse, South Beloit’s Nature at the Confluence, Stateline Boys and Girls Club, Boys & Girls Club of Janesville, Children’s Museum of Rock County, Beloit Public Library Discovery PLAYce and Shine Medical Technologies Resource Buildings.

Raised in a cheese factory in Belleville, Wisconsin, Joe developed both a strong work ethic and an appreciation for community that has carried through his life and career. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Since moving to Beloit in 1998, he has been a driving force in local and regional development. He currently serves on Beloit 200, City Center Council and the Rock County Passenger Rail Committee, The Lincoln Academy, Forward Janesville, The Beloit International Film Festival (BIFF), Roy Chapman Andrews Society, and has previously chaired or served on boards and committees for the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation, UW Rock County Foundation, Community Action of Rock and Walworth Counties, the Roy Chapman Andrews Society, Janesville Noon Kiwanis Club, YMCA of North Rock County, and the Downtown Beloit Association. His professional expertise and personal passion for strengthening the Rock County region have been evident in his leadership and in his volunteer service—from advancing economic development to helping build sets for the Beloit Memorial High School theater program. He is also an active supporter of the Beloit Art Center.

Dawn Stadelman, born in Menominee, Wisconsin, earned her degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. She began her career with Rowley Schlimgen in Madison and Rockford, later serving as Interiors Project Manager at Meriter Hospital and Museum Coordinator and Associate Registrar at Beloit College and currently the Coordinator at Wright Museum of Art. She has also worked independently as a project management consultant.

Married to Joe since 1995, Dawn Stadelman has been equally dedicated to her community while raising their three children. Her service and leadership span many organizations, most notably the Beloit Art Center, where she has served as Gallery Manager, President, Vice President, Secretary, and on multiple committees. She currently fundraises for the Discovery PLAYce. She has contributed her talents to the Beloit Public Library, Kids Fun and Drama, DePaul University’s Parent Leadership Council, Beloit Memorial High School Theatre, the Beloit Public Library Foundation, Visit Beloit’s First Impressions Committee, and the Angel Museum. Her roles have included everything from art consulting, fundraising, and event planning to hands-on set and costume work in school theater productions.

Together, Joe and Dawn Stadelman represent a shared commitment to creativity, service, and community development. Whether advancing economic development, enriching the arts, or volunteering in schools and cultural organizations, their leadership and dedication have left an enduring impact. Their shared commitment to Beloit’s growth, culture, and future reflects both their individual strengths and the partnership they have built in family and community life.
