As a member of the Beloit Evening Lions Club, Chamberlain suggested organizing a car show as a fundraising effort. That idea became the Autorama Car Show and Chamberlain served as co-chair of the show for its first 30 years, stepping back in 2007.
Chamberlain served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 and was stationed at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
