America means a lot to everyone, including myself. America is a community of millions of people living freely. Thanks to historical figures like Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Martin Luther King, and Harriet Tubman, these are all people who fought to stop segregation. Inventors like Nikola Tesla, the Wright brothers, Henry Ford, and Steve Jobs made inventions that are still relied on today.

George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Franklin D Roosevelt, who were people who led America through the Great Depression and World War Two. They all lead America to be the way it is today: free. Leadership doesn’t just happen in the White House, it takes place in neighborhoods and communities. Many people can have impacts on America. Citizens who make organizations help the community by picking up trash, cleaning the ocean, helping endangered animals, and other flaws in our community. There are many different varieties of food and traditions here. People from all over the world brought food and traditions from their countries and cultures to America. Mexican, French, Italian, Norwegian, and other cultures and countries around the world have brought their countries traditions and food to America. These traditions and food make America unique and have something for everyone.

America means freedom from division, freedom to speak, free to practice beliefs, and free to simply live. When I look around my classroom, I see other children of my age with many different backgrounds, many races, different abilities, and yet we are all still children in the same classroom. We all still learn the same material, play together, and respect one another period this is how leaders are born, and shape the future of our great country. This is what America means to me, where I can be at home in unity with all.
